NEW VERDICT: $625k in Baltimore County Circuit Court
Yesterday a Baltimore County Jury awarded our client, a member of the US Military, $625k after a two-day trial for injuries suffered in a motor vehicle crash.
Before trial, the insurance company offered $200k to settle but our Partner, Dustin Furman, and his client rejected the offer and pressed forward leaving it up to the jury. We believed the evidence and testimony of our client’s pain and suffering were worth more than the last offer and were not afraid to try the case.
Distracted driving is dangerous and when it leads to a crash and takes away someone’s health as a result, the driver must be held responsible for the unwanted injuries and suffering they cause.
