Tennessee Bill Would Compensate Children of Victims Killed by Drunk Drivers
Tennessee is one signature away from passing a law aimed at compensating minors whose parents are killed by drunk drivers. Named “Ethan, Hailey, and Bentley’s Law,” the law would require those convicted of crimes involving the death of a parent to pay child support to a victim’s minor children up until age 18. Pennsylvania, Alabama, Illinois, Oklahoma and Louisiana are considering similar bills.
